Thrifty Foods Double Up Program

Thanks to the generous support of Thrifty Foods, VIU's faculty, staff and students are able to double the bang for their fundraising bucks through a one-of-a-kind fundraising initiative known as the Double Up Program. The way it works is Thrifty Foods matches the money made at fundraising events organized by VIU's faculty, staff or students up to $1,000. The program has been running since 2009 and since then has helped support a variety of initiatives at the university including scholarships, awards and bursaries and the new Aboriginal Gathering Place on the Nanaimo campus.
